Our week was filled with AMAZING and fun adventures.
This week, we wrapped up our study of the United States with our USA Roundup! Students had the chance to learn about the National Parks of the US, Immigration, and each student even had the opportunity to mine for gems, just like the 49ers!
Tuesday we participated in the AMAZING RACE. Teams had the chance to lasso cows, participate in a Native American foot race, and even build sand castles. Your child can share a lot more about this day. Miss Farrell took many more photos, and
you can see them in this dropbox.
Later on Tuesday, we celebrated Mrs. Toye's retirement. The songs and poems were wonderful.
Wednesday and Thursday we celebrated the end of our final Interactive Read Aloud,
Charlotte's Web. We enjoyed our "county fair" snacks! We created a line plot and discussed the data. We compared Charlotte's Web the movie with the books- there were many differences! Our STEM challenge was to create a working ferris wheel. All teams in our class and in Mrs. Williams' class were able to do this. We all agreed that if we had a few more days to redesign, we would fix our bucket seats so that people could really sit in the seats. We also participated in our second BREAKOUT! What a success!

Many thanks to Mr. Houlihan for coming into school on Thursday to share his knowledge of electricity. We learned a lot about how electricity gets to our homes. Thank you!
