June Has Arrived!

What a week it has been!  Our week began with a Kennedy School Tradition ~ Tie Dye Tuesday!  The weather cooperated and we were able to dye our ORANGE shirts.  Thanks to our helpers, Mrs. Masters, Mrs. Cunningham, Mrs.Carolan and Mr. Reardon!

We tied our shirts on Friday with the whole fourth grade!

We all took turns stirring the shirts in the dye.

Finally, the shirts were dry!  We were so excited to see ours!

We wore our shirts to the recorder and chorus concert on Thursday.  We looked like an ocean of sunsets as we played our recorders.

On Wednesday, we participated in a mystery state question and answer.  We used SKYPE to connect with a fourth grade class from Wisconsin!  After asking and answering many questions, we were able to guess their home state, and they were able to guess ours!  It was a fun and exciting time for our class.  We hope to do this with a class from either the west or southwest region, but we are running out of time.  What a great experience for our class!

In addition to all of these fun activities, the children have been working very hard preparing for our Coffeehouse next week.  We are looking forward to seeing you on June 7 at 10:15!!
Happy Birthday to our June Birthdays~ Shane, James, Charlotte, and Mrs. Merten!
