Classroom Update ~

The last two weeks have been very, very busy in fourth grade!  After vacation, we began a new grade level activity. We are exploring grade level morning meetings.  We have had 2 meetings (each Monday) and have included a "mantra" for the week.  Our mantra for this week was "BOOK IT!" Ask your child about this mantra!

We were lucky enough to have Elizabeth McKim (Miss Liz) as our poet in residence this week.  You will see some of your child's work with her this weekend.

Mrs. Silvia was back for a presentation about the Hopi from the Southwest region of the U.S.  We enjoyed learning about celebrations, homes, and food, as well as exploring authentic clothing and artifacts.

We are grateful to the Kennedy PCC for funding both of these activities!

Thank you for all of the Teacher Appreciation!  It was a lovely week!

Below are some photos of our math and social studies work this week.  We have enjoyed learning about Geometry in math and the Midwest Region in social studies.

We also celebrated Star Wars Day on Math the 4th!

And we continued to shrink the globe with a "trip" to Dunwoody, Georgia during our Mystery Skype!

AND NOW THIS BREAKING NEWS ~

This month, we have a survey for the parents and one for the students.  Thank you for taking the time to fill the survey out!
