Our TWO Weeks in Review

What a busy two weeks we have had! We took our Mexico Tests, and the students all did very well!  (Scores can be viewed in Google Classroom).  We have been practicing different multiplication strategies, and students have been working on learning their facts.  We finished writing our narratives, and have been learning about nonfiction text structures and features.  Book talks have continued, and we even were RETWEETED by author, Gordon Korman!  (check out our twitter feed @mertenladybugs) We have also been talking about kindness, and have been working on giving/receiving compliments this week.  I have captioned many of these pictures to give you a window into the last two weeks.

Author Kristen Gray talked to all fourth graders about the writing process and her book, Vilonia Beebee Takes Charge.

Our confidence with multiplication continues to grow!

Reviewing for our Mexico Test!

We have been learning about currents, tides and waves during science.  Ask your child about our science experiment!

From the Teacher's Desk:
Please take a few minutes to complete this survey. This will help to frame our parent conferences in December.  I am looking forward to meeting with all families.
