Our Week In Review

Tie Dye Tuesday was a great success! Thank you to Mr. Duffy, Mrs. Drake, Mrs. Arroyo and Mrs. Panter.  Our t-shirts look great, and we can't wait to see the sea of orange when we all wear the shirts on Thursday for Sports Day, and Friday for the Coffeehouse.

Our final math project is the line design project. We are making great progress with this, and will begin sewing our projects next week.  In science we have continued to learn about energy, this week, focusing on light.  We are preparing for our Coffeehouse (next Friday) by writing and reciting our poetry.

We have 2 chapters left in Charlotte's Web.  The students have been doing a great job with reader's theater, and can't wait to learn what happens to Charlotte and Wilbur.  Students are working on end of the year journal entries, which are due on Tuesday.  So far, the journals have been wonderful to read!  the last 2 journals are due in the next few weeks.

Check out our a short video  of our virtual trip to the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Carlsbad Caverns and the Alamo in our twitter feed to the right.

Looking forward to summer reading, Mrs Williams and I will be hosting a virtual book club for students entering 5th grade this summer.  This will be done using Google Hangouts.   We will be reading the book, Endling, The Last, by Katherine Applegate.  More information will be forthcoming.
