Our Week(s) in Review

PHEW!  What a busy two weeks we have had. There has been so much learning happening in room 24!  We are enjoying our hands-on science lessons, and our study of the West Region of the U.S. These two units will continue after vacation.

During reading, we have LOVED reading about Ivan, the gorilla.  We will continue reading this Interactive Read Aloud.

During writing, we wrote from a different character's point of view.  When we return, we will begin writing nonfiction.

In math, we will continue our work with measurement and elapsed time, and then we will move into learning about geometry.

MCAS testing will begin for fourth grade after vacation, and we will spend 3 days on ELA testing the week we return.

I hope you enjoy your week, spending time with family and friends!  The weather is expected to be beautiful!

Check out these pictures showing our learning over the last few weeks.
