Our Week In Review

What a week! We enjoyed celebrating our most recent Interactive Read Aloud, Little Dog, Lost, on Tuesday. Dog Day was filled with themed activities such as "Dog Math" and charades, using vocabulary from the book.  Students enjoyed dog themed snacks, and we graphed the results of our snacks. Thank you for sending your child in with a tasty snack!

We worked on our listening skills this week during our morning meeting.  Your child can share what we're doing in these pictures.

We have been learning about the Northeast Region of the US, and will wrap up our new learning on Wednesday with a quiz.  Students are also working on a group project about the Northeast.Your child can show you his/her group's progress by logging into Google.

We have continued reading Snow Treasure, and we are working on tracking our thinking digitally.  Your child can share this with you as well!  We enjoyed celebrating World Read Aloud Day with our new first grade friends.  Mrs. Kolody's class read with us on Thursday morning.  Mrs. Merten also shared her favorite childhood book, Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak.

Check out Mrs. Mac's most recent blog post.  You can find our 4th grade musicians highlighted. Check it out to hear some "Hot Cross Buns"! (Scroll down to see us.)
