Our Week In Review

What a week!

On Monday we had our first Knitting Club! This takes place during  recess, and students learned to knit with our new friends, Miss Jan and Miss Mim.  We are grateful for the connection we made with the Franklin Senior Center, and for these ladies for donating their time to connect with our students!

We wrapped up our math unit on Geometry, and students took an assessment on Thursday.  Assessments were sent home on Friday, and students can view this online as well on pearsonrealize.com.

We wrapped up our study of the west region by creating slideshows highlighting our learning.  We then participated in a Kahoot! game.

The highlight of our week was a visit from our poet in residence, Elizabeth McKim.  Miss Liz shared her knowledge and inspired our students to write beautiful poetry!  Miss Liz spent 3 sessions with us over 3 days.  She instructed the students, conferenced with them and then our students had our first poetry reading!  Ask your child about this experience.  Thank you to JFK PCC for funding this!
