Our Week In Review

Before our Student Council speeches on Monday, we calmed our nerves with some Morning yoga. We are always thankful to Mrs. A. Williams for leading this.
SEVEN students ran for our Student Council.  We were so impressed with each candidates ideas and speech.  Mrs. Merten was very proud of our class for listening carefully and considering all ideas.

Congratulations to our new Student Council Representative!

This week during math, our focus was understanding multiplication through creating and using models.  Students used base ten blocks to show the multiplication process.  We will continue to work on this throughout this week.  Check back to our blog for homework help this week.

During reading, we began our next interactive read aloud, Little Dog, Lost by Marion Dane Bauer.  This book will spark many conversations about pets and different points of view about them.  We will also be reading many nonfiction books about dogs during this time.  Students continue to share their favorite books through Book Talks.  Please encourage your child to participate in this!

During Social Studies, we wrapped up our study of Mexico. Students reviewed using a Kahoot, and then took an online quiz using their notes.  Students have access to their grade on this through Google Classroom.  We traveled to Mexico during Technology Workshop on Friday!  Students were able to see many of the places we learned about during our study of this country.  Your child should have many things to share about this!
