Our Week In Review

This week we completed reading The Family Under the Bridge.  We enjoyed learning about this family, and we especially enjoyed the happy ending!  We are working on family mottos, and will share those with you soon.

In writing, we have finished drafting our fiction stories.  We enjoyed writing these stories, and are looking forward to publishing them next year.

We continue to learn about fractions, and will work much more on this in the time following vacation.

We also practiced following written directions while making a craft with Mrs. Williams' class.  We enjoyed this time!

Yesterday we gave our December speeches. The children have improved dramatically since our November speeches.  Though getting up in front of the class is difficult, Mrs. Merten was impressed with everyone!  Below are pictures or videos (student's choice) of your child.

It was wonderful to meet with you last week.  I believe it is so important to keep communication open, and to work together to help your child grow.  Fourth grade can be challenging, and the children have certainly risen to the occasion.  Thank you, too for all of the kind comments about our class blog.  I am so happy that families are enjoying it!

I hope you all enjoy your vacation, filled with fun, family and friendship.
