The Big Sled Race (Engineering Challenge #2)
The race was a success! Congratulations to everyone! We learned that the material on the bottom of the sled will impact how fast/slow and how far it will go. We also learned that weight is an important part of sled building. We all agreed that we could build a better sled if given the chance to do this again! Our farthest sled traveled 10 feet 4 inches.
Students will be bringing home their engineering packet. In the packet, there are directions for a "Snowflake Challenge". If your child decides to do this, we will test the snowflakes at school after vacation.
We also enjoyed Dance Party Friday this morning- doing the Cupid Shuffle!
Check out the teachers with their new mustaches!
